A potted azalea requires acidic soil, a bright spot without harsh direct sun (10–18°C) and consistently moist earth. It should be watered with soft, settled water, avoiding wetting the leaves and flowers. Regular fertilization, high air humidity and removing spent flowers are crucial to ensure long flowering.

Watering: The soil must be kept consistently slightly moist, but not wet. Drying out causes leaves and flowers to drop rapidly. It is best to water with soft water (boiled or filtered) at room temperature. Position: Bright but diffused light. East or west windowsills are ideal. Avoid full sun (scorching) and drafts. Temperature: Prefers cool temperatures (10-15°C in winter, up to 18°C), which prolongs flowering. Air humidity: High. It is worth placing the pot on a saucer with pebbles filled with water (the pot must not stand in water). Substrate and fertilizing: The substrate must be acidic (peat-based). Fertilize every 10-14 days with fertilizer for azaleas or acid-loving plants, also after flowering. Post-flowering care: Remove spent flowers, and stems can be pruned to thicken the plant.
